Job Opening

We had to let our tooth fairy go. We are currently looking for a replacement. She seemed like a promising candidate, but just did not perform up to par.

She did a wonderful job with tooth #1. She delivered the appropriate monetary compensation for the missing tooth with efficiency and ease.

When tooth #2 went missing, she failed to show up for her duties.

What is this world coming to?

I think your tooth fairy and our tooth fairy belong to the same Union!

OH NO! Tell Richie that you'll give our tooth fairy a call! So far she's been good, there was one night I was a little concerned, but she came through at the last minute!

By the way, we were able to save face thanks to Rich's quick thinking. He told him that the tooth fairy probably had not been there yet because it was still dark. One reason to be glad school starts so early, I guess. He was then able to distract Richie while I snuck the dollar under his pillow. And lo and behold, once the sun was up the money was there.

I'm really surprised he bought it. He was just telling us the other day that Santa wasn't real. I think the gig is going to be up on all of it soon!

needing to fire your tooth fairy brings to mind that old adage "you just can't find good help these days!" : )

We have been right there with you. Thanks to Skip's "cat like reflexes" he...I mean, the Tooth Fairy came through. I still maintain that humans are not meant to be fairies!

A dollar! WOW! Maybe we could hire your tooth fairy ours only brings change.

LOL! I'm with Michelle...a dollar? WOW! Inflation has reared it's ugly head in the tooth fairy world, too? UGH...we're in trouble!

Our tooth fairy does not put the money under the pillow, but rather on his desk. Also a written letter of request was left asking fairy to not take the teeth because JP wants to keep them.

I hope Richie keeps that Santa secret to himself...I am not ready for that to be let out of the bag.

Don't worry, Jen. We didn't confirm it or anything, he was just testing I think. I'm honestly not sure if we'll make it through another Christmas, though. He's been on to us for a couple of years. If he does figure it out, we'll do our best to keep him telling and ruining it for anyone else.

This cracks me up. However, I only got a quarter from my tooth fairy. I should have fired her and hired yours when i was growing up! :)

I had to fire our tooth fairy a few months ago. But now Keilani's two front teeth aren't growing back in. That was almost 4 months ago.

Sometimes the tooth fairy cannot make it because it is raining somewhere in the world. I mean, you wouldn't want her to risk her life now, would you?

At our house the tooth fairy pays extra if she arrives late...

too funny.

Someone needs to voice a complaint to the BBB because our has showed up late before too! Eric just says "I'll go look under the bed, maybe it fell down there" and lo and behold, he ALWAYS finds it!

funny post---what we won't do for our kids! I think our santa, bunny and fairy days are almost over! It's kinda sad! :(

Alana, loved reading at your site today.

I'm a grandmother of 12 and a great-grandmother of 7, and I'm absolutely convinced that in those long ago years of needing the tooth fairy to visit my 4 children's pillow, we had the exact same fairy you are now discribing. Good for you! Finally giving her a pink slip.Guess I just didn't have the nerve.

cheers

Shirley,

Thanks for visiting and for your comment. I clicked on your profile so I could stop by your blog to say "hello". Since there was no info there I'll just post it here and hope that you'll come back see it!

Alana,

That was cute. Boy, it is hard for parents to keep up with everything! Thank goodness your hubby came up with some quick thoughts. That was great.

Glad the toothfairy showed up and did her job!

Last year at camp we had to take up collections - kids were losing teeth right and left! I was overwhelmed by the "going rate" for teeth - especially molars!
