Well, now that we are in the swing of things with Kindergarten it is time to throw one more change into the mix.
Baby Will is starting preschool tomorrow. He's not really Baby Will anymore, but that is what he was affectionately called for quite some time around here.
I'm actually feeling pretty good about the preschool thing. William will go to the same preschool that Richie just graduated from. He will have the same teacher and the same classroom. And two of his best buddies are in his class. Do you know what is even cooler than that? His buddies' Mommies are also two of MY best buddies! Janelle and Dixie. Don't bother clicking on Dixie's link because there is only one post on her poor, poor blog. Although, that one post did get 86 comments, all of which are rather entertaining. We were all gluttons for punishment until we realized that no matter how much we PLEADED she was not going to post another entry in this LIFETIME.
Anyway, there is no fear about tomorrow because we have been down this road before and it is a wonderful, happy, friendly road. Plus, preschool is only 2 1/2 hours two mornings a week and that is hardly enough time to get sad about being ALL ALONE WITH NO CHILDREN. And although, William was afraid I might be "scawed" all alone and told me that I would be "ohhhhkay!"...I think I can handle it.
I'm really just so thankful that he is going to be able to attend preschool. I was worried that he would not be allowed in because we failed Potty Training 101: An Introduction to All Things Potty and Potty Training 201: A Concerted Effort. However, thankfully last week when we attempted Potty Training 301:Please God Let This Work Because We Only Have One Week Until Preschool Starts something clicked and he has had mostly dry underwear for about a week! We're still having some issues with (ahem) #2, but I guess he is saving that for the senior level course of Potty Training 401: How to poop in the POTTY and not in your PULL-UP at naptime.
Well, now that I have surely give you much more information than you came here wanting to know, I'll close.
Stay tuned...tomorrow I'll let you know how his first day went complete with pictures!

i can't wait to see pictures. we didn't even take pictures with big h because i wanted to do the quick drop off and leave. (suggestion per the teacher due to big h's *strong* personality.) so wish i had pictures. can't wait to hear how things go.
and what ON EARTH you will do with your time without little people.
Hey Alana,
Thanks for visiting my little blog. We live about a 1/2 mile from Milligan College. Our address is actually Johnson City, but we are building a house at the edge of Elizabethton.
My husband and I both went to ETSU. I am laughing at your potty training post. My youngest is 3 and he definitely had potty issues. I wish kids came to us trained already -life would be so much easier. I could tell you potty stories that would make you laugh til you cry.
Anyway, thanks for checking out my blog - I also blog on another site www.worshippingchristian.org.
Hope to hear lots more from you !
I'm looking forward to the pictures. And, how fun that his friends will be there with him!
Ugh...potty training. I've just hated it. My first is almost trained, but just not quite. The naptime pooping is the worst. So glad Will is doing so well and is starting preschool!! :)
it is a big day alana! i'm celebrating with you! enjoy those few hours all to yourself! i bet it will be glorious!
Hope he has a good day and that you don't go crazy trying to figure out what to do with your time alone ;-)
I found you through The Small Scribbler and I hope you don't mind me reading! I love what you have to say. I have two girls just a pinch younger than yours and we are starting Kinder this week. Ouch! My youngest is only 19 months and we haven't begun the PT period yet...I can't wait! =)...hope you don't mind me reading b/c it seems like I am in the same stage as you!
That has got to be one of the cutest pictures! His eyes are gorgeous! Enjoy your 5 hours a week to yourself. I have finally gotten used to having Thursday just for me.
I'm sure that he will have a fun time!
OH THAT PICTURE! He is PRECIOUS! I love how the look on his face is still one we see now! Enjoy your 2 1/2 hours!
Baby Will is adorable....thanks for sharing the picture. I love the course names for the potty training education! I attribute our success to my daughter's magical Curious George panties, story told in full at http://tinyurl.com/2sjfsq
Enjoy your time alone!
Potty Training 501: Find the Big Hungry Bear.
He did great at preschool! So cute, that Baby Will.
So fun that we both have a "baby" Will. Mrs. B is such a wonderful teacher. Hope he had a special day and that you enjoyed your 2 hours off.
Love those big blue eyes.
You could write a syllabus with all those potty training posts. Maybe teach a college course via the internet. I bet you would have hundreds of thousands of mothers who would sign up.

Hi Alana,
I followed the link from your comment in Sarah's blog...hope ya don't mind! I am LOVING your siggy so I'm gonna link you up on my blog to give ya some props! :)
By the way, my son was almost 3 1/2 before he'd even TELL US he went poop in his pull-up, so don't bang your head on the wall quite yet. Once he decided he wanted to do it, it was SO quick!!
Love your blog -- it's beautiful.
I would love to get together! Call me in the morning, I do have to work and leave the house at 1pm, but I only work Tue thru Thurs. I am always home on Mon and Fri,Sat. Thank you for the comment too. Sure you can add me to your link...I am not sure what that means, but hey I trust ya! Take care, it's really late so I am going to head to bed. I really shouldn't read these things before bed because it seems to wake me up and get the wheel (usually I would say wheels, but I have been a little foggy lately:) in my brain turning and then I can't sleep! UGH, no rest for the weary! HAHAHa
I just read your comment over at the Best Days of My Life. As adults we become tainted and guard our hearts so often. I just wrote on Friendships and Superficiality. Something I have been thinking alot about lately. I wish we all could be as transparent as her daughter was in writing that letter to her friend!!
