It's Our Time to Sing Together...

Forgive me for not posting pictures of Will's first day before now! I am knee deep in preparations for a new Kindermusik semester. I'm a Kindermusik teacher by the way (if you don't already know that...which most of you do). In case you have no idea what Kindermusik is you can click on the word Kindermusik and check it out! If you are interested in finding a class in your area just search the class locator for a teacher near you! It is a fabulous program and you will LOVE it!

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Will's first day went great! No potty accidents...woohoo! And no problem with the drop off. To be honest, I'm not sure he even noticed we were gone. He had a great time and seemed most impressed by a story about a big hungry bear. I'm not too fond of the big hungry bear because he threw us for a bit of a potty training loop, but I'll fill you in on that at a later date. Or I'll just say that I will and never do it (this seems to be my pattern).

I would like to say, however, "Hallelujah, thank you Jesus!" in response to the whole 2 1/2 hours without kids. I was giddy with excitement. I stopped by Starbucks for a tasty treat and then went home to get some work done. I know that must not sound very exciting, but it was bliss for me to have time alone in my house to accomplish something without interruption!

Ahhhh!

Without further ado, I'll share some of my favorite pictures from yesterday. By the way, I can take credit for very few of the pictures found on this blog. My husband takes the bulk of the pictures around here.

Will and L (our other buddy Tessa wasn't able to be there for the first day)

Is that cute or what? The backpack is almost entirely purposeless, but I couldn't resist!

After all you do need to have something to hang on your hook for the first day! AND there is the need for something to hold a change of clothes just in case Potty Training 301 didn't stick.

Oh, the backpack is the cutest! That is a great shot of him from behind, really shows how big he is.

Hopefully, the Big Hungry Bear is a thing of the past!

I am glad Will survived his craft take-over by Loulabelle. I have talked to her about not needing to take care of William so much. The picture of the two of them is priceless.

Love, love, love Kindermusik with Alana!

That kid just has a glow of mischief about him! What a cutie! I love those quiet days - haven't had them in awhile now, since I decided to add a baby to the mix when I was almost FREE (haha) but it's a GREAT thing to have some in school and some still at home to keep me company. I really won't know what to do with myself when all 3 are in school ALL day! Love you - when do your classes start?

We too love Kindermusic with Alana. Boy3 loves the egg shakers that we have at home.

So glad Will's first day was great. It's just the beginning for him...what a great way to get prepared for school.

Love those adorable pics! Tell husband that he did good! Seeing Will and L together made me wish Annie could be there! They have such a great teacher, and it's so nice to know they're in great hands! Oh, and it is QUITE important to have something to hang on the hooks!!! We are HUGE Kindermusik fans, and are eagerly looking forward to class soon!!!

That is the cutest backpack I have ever seen! And, he looks so precious going to school!! :)

YAY for the potty success! I'm sure that was a huge relief to you and you were so proud!!

I love Kindermusik. I come from a whole family of musicians, and music is SO important for little ones!! Hope you have a great year! :)

I love his little hair do! My little one won't let me do that to his hair. It would be so cute on him. I love backpack pictures. It looks like he's going off to face the world!

so...my first response is that i'm green with envy. first, the backpack is so stinking fun. big h's school requires an open top tote this year. what 4-year-old is going to look hip in a ll bean boat and tote? especially one that's too big for him to even carry?

the picture of the "hanging of the backpack?" LOVE it!

praying for continued potty success. go Will!

oh, and 2 1/2 hours alone? bliss. no matter what you're doing.

I CANNOT believe that Baby Will is big enough for preschool. Wow - these are wonderful days. Enjoy your 2 1/2 hours of bliss twice a week. It's a small slice of heaven I am sure.

The most hilarious thing is that we all think..who hoo...2 1/2 hours! And then its like run errand, run errand, home for 5 minutes, wash dishes, then back to school. We do it all for them, don't we? Its great! I hope they both have a wonderful year!

Oh...how nice 2 1/2hrs of alone time sounds! Eventhough it was hard for my oldest to go to pre-k for a few hours, I have to say that being home with just 2 kids vs. 3 was nice too. He's a cutie & I laughed when you said about the backpack being pretty much useless. That's how I felt about my son's backpack...only has the required change of clothes in it too! HA!
