For Future Reference

I have this "friend" whose child put gum in his hair.

I'm SURE that none of your children would ever do anything like this.

BUT, just in case they do...here is a handy dandy link for you to reference.

My "friend" says the oil method works QUITE well!

There has to be a story connected with this!!! I'd love to hear it!! :) I'll try to remember this link as Ruthie already has enough hair to get gum stuck in it! LOL!

Sol-U-Mel works WONDERS too. You know, because a FRIEND of mine also experienced this! :)

Still dying to hear about the first day of school...

"After the oil method, the gum may be gone, but the oil will remain in the hair for several shampoos."

That is a crack up.

Alana...you have some friends who must not be watching their kids very well. None of my "friends" would ever let a thing like that happen.

Hmmm...interesting. Can't say we have ventured there yet; however it is still a distinct possibility since child 2 is still only 3.

I'm so glad that the "oil" method worked!!! wish I could've had some oil at the rec plex a couple of weeks ago, when I discovered a wad of gum in Annie's hair, just as we arrived! oh well, if you ever have to cut it out, nail clippers work wonders!

Well, this friend is VERY relieved that your "friend" had success at ridding the gum. I was nervous for your "friend"!

Yes. Oil does work quite well. On every one of my four kids who have needed it. Especially the one with long hair who fell asleep with gum in her hair and rolled in it throughout the night.

A buzz cut also does the trick for gum and impromptu haircuts by scissor happy siblings.
