Home Sweet Home

After a wonderful trip to Tennessee (will share details and pictures soon), we are home again. It is so good to be home.

We've been visiting the Smoky Mountains which is one of my favorite places. Growing up I spent summer vacations there visiting relatives, eating southern cooking, and playing in the creeks. I also retreated to the mountains during my college years where I made some of my fondest memories, found lifelong friends (including the best roomie ever), and fell in love. Rich and I have always dreamed of returning there someday with hopes of him becoming a professor at our alma mater.

It could still happen, but the more time passes and the longer we live here in the Ozarks the the less likely it seems that we will move from here...a place with beautiful foothills (I won't call them mountains), with a church that we love, unbelievable friends, a comfortable home, and jobs that would be hard to beat.

Who knows what God has in store? He has led us in many different directions during our marriage and we have always been faithful to follow. I know that He has our best interests at heart.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, I guess I'm just thinking out loud that I am thankful and content for where God has placed us and have seen the fruit of our obedience to follow Him here.
