Decisions, Decisions.

To describe me as "indecisive" would be such a gross understatement that it is almost laughable. It is quite possible this word was invented to describe me.

I probably spent 30 minutes last night trying to choose what snacks to take for son's preschool helper day. Do I get healthy snacks and risk another preschool coup d'État? Do I get yummy snacks and risk the potential wrath of parents with sugared-up children? Maybe one healthy snack and one yummy snack? These Dora snacks are cute, but are they too girlish for a boy to bring? I could buy these, but I need 9 snacks and there are only 8 in this box so I would have to buy two boxes. AACCKK!!!! Am I driving you crazy yet? Just imagine what it would be like to BE me! This insanity carries over into every aspect of my life...where to eat, what to eat, what presents to buy, what to say, what to BLOG, this list could go on and on, but I think you get the picture.

You're probably wondering where I am going with this. Or you're no longer reading this, or your thinking about how you are the same way, or you're thinking about you do not understand what I am saying AT ALL and wish you could grab me by the shoulders and scream, "GET A GRIP, GIRL!".

I do have a point. The reason I am sharing this with you is so that you may understand the importance of the following request. I need your help. You see, I received a $15 iTunes card for Christmas and I'd really like to use it, but I CAN'T DECIDE FOR THE LIFE OF ME WHICH 15 SONGS TO CHOOSE! This is where you come in. What songs are you loving right now? I will take all considerations, but I would love some great new worship tunes.

So, how about it, can you help this indecisive girl?

I wish I could be more help to you, but I am probably as indecisive as you!

As far as worship tunes go, I really like Chris Tomlin's "How great is Our God". I don't know how new that one is, but it's a great one.

I also love "Your Name" by Phillips, Craig and Dean.

"Only the World" by Mandisa is smokin', as well as "Shackles".

I'm not too "up" on the new songs right now.

And as far as the snacks go, at least you didn't have to serve them prunes on purple day! Those didn't go over too well! Purple Skittles would have been received SO much more graciously!

I'm all over some kirk franklin music right now! I walk so much faster and with so much "umph" in my step, its scary! I don't know if you already have his stuff downloaded.

Good luck girl! i'm just like you!

I'd pretty much get anything by Chris Tomlin. Or Todd Agnew (what a voice). Or Third Day (yet another voice). Or Mercy Me. Or Casting Crowns. Or... Or... Or...

I'm absolutely no help. Sorry. Guess you'll have to wait for the next comment from someone else to help you out. Heh.

Or.... you could download that old Elvis gospel album. Perhaps Rich could lip-synch and do his impression of the King?

Sorry. I'm done now.

No! No! No! None of the above. I just heard my children singing some Silly Songs with Larry from Veggietales. You MUST download those! Cheeseburger Song... Buffalo Song... Oh yeah, that's the ticket.

Now I'm REALLY done. :)

I haven't even made it to the downloading part, i am still trying to figure out how to turn my ipod on.

But yes Dora is too girly for such a manly man to bring, diego snacks should have been directly to the left. But then again William does like his ladies...

He is too cute.

If it helps, I always went 1 healthy mom pleaser& 1 yummy kid pleaser.

I just go to the Top 100 downloaded songs section and browse by category. The top ones on the Christian are awesome, usually a mix of good old ones and hip new ones.

So now I made the problem worse, didn't I??

Yep. That's what I was thinking!

Oh I kid because I love you!

And Music Advice? Really? Don't you already have like, every song known to man? I KNOW that you already have all my faves. The only thing that comes to mind for me, is the new Go Fish songs. They're technically "kid" songs, but I gotta say I really love them! My faves are "The Mom Song", "Saved", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", and "Jammies".

Good Luck!

I'm with JP's Mom... I have an ipod... I got before Ruthie was born, but I haven't loaded anything in it yet... Because I can't decide what to load and never mind going to itunes...where does one start? :)

Alana said...

Well, Teresa. I can answer that one. Start with the CDs you already have. Load them on to your computer and then onto your iPod. That way you have your favorite CDs on that convenient little pod. Then you can add to that using iTunes ;-)

What fun!

I ditto Rita Springer! I love Sara Groves and then there's Indelible Grace's 5th album (the updated hymns) that is EXCELLENT!

Let us know what you choose! :)

I'm with Shelley! We got the kids "Snazzy" by GO FISH for Christmas and I totally love it - probably more than they do, which is saying A TON, since they listen to it All. The. Time. GO GET IT NOW, girl! Also, anything in my player on my blog right now, I'm totally loving! :) Have fun! (also, a new fave - Top of my Lungs by PCandD)

"Love Liberty Disc" offthe Newsboys remix cd. Ad whileyou are at it... you should puton "They Don't serve Breakfast In Hell" Or atleast I think that's the title.

I can relate with your little "problem". I can be decisive about most things, but chosing where to eat dinner... oh goodness, I think that may be the most difficul thing on earth! My husband won't take me out anymore unless I've commited to a place before hand. ~K

Wow, I just reread my comment, and I think my space bar is having issues! I'm a terrible speller, but not quite THAT bad. ~

I feel your pain - I am horrible with making decisions and it doesn't help that there are so many choices for everything out there. Right now I am struggling with the idea of switching blog providers - I am driving myself with all of the pros/cons for each of them.

As for music, Christmas I asked for some updated CDs so I could fee a part of society. I got Maroon 5 and several Alison Krauss CDs which I love. I also enjoy Sara Grooves and Watermark.

I think Heather is on target for current Christian music. As you'll recall from my TT, I like the '70s!

I'm so bad with decisions!! They take me forever, and I usually have to know what everyone orders before I order!! I'll have to get back with ya here! LOL!! SORRY!

Girl...I got NOTHING :) Sorry. I laugh though because I have the same problem when trying to make a decision!

Good luck. I hope you found something.

I am addicted to Travis Cottrell right now. My kids are singing along with him, too...so you KNOW I'm listening to him a lot. Joanne also has me hooked on Kirk Franklin these days. Teri turned me on to Rita Springer. It's all good!

One of my favorites lately has been "Everything Glorious" by David Crowder Band. I can't seem to get enough of that song. I also love "The Blessing" by John Waller. Have fun with your itunes.

Plumb just came out with a great new album. A definite album made just for mom's. Really good!

i linger around here from time to time. and before i give my suggestions i have especially enjoyed reading your posts "more," how i relate, and isn't it wonderful when God uses his word to speak truth, and then reinforces it with our kiddos. i love it when these kids are so tangibly used for His glory.

now for worship songs i would spend my itunes gift card on-
Vision of You- Shane&Shane
Our God Saves- Paul Baloche
You Have Been So Good to Me- Paul Baloche
Everything Glorious- David Crowder
I Need Thee Every Hour- Jars of Clay
Kingdom Come- Sara Groves

These are more than a few of my favorites :-)

Now i have got to go find the "snow mom" in me (though we have no snow..awww well, i'm gonna serve hot cocoa anyway!).
