Do what you have to do, but please tell me...while wearing a hoodie under your winter coat do you tuck the hood in, out, or skip the coat all together?

Ok... I love to wear hoodies...usually I wear mine with a VEST, with the hood out, because my vest is hoodless. It looks cute and it isn't in the way. But if I must wear a coat I usually pull the hood out, because it makes me feel all chokey if I don't! (I just made up a word!) The last thing I have to say is HOODIES ROCK! I wear one every chance I get!

If I wear my coat w/o a hood then I pull my hoodie hood out. FYI...that is what my super cool niece does, too. She is a fashionista if I ever knew one.
I love hoodies with vests, also. That would be my coat of choice for that look.

I own one hoodie and I've never worn it with a coat. However, my children have several and I must admit that I don't untuck the hoodie when they wear a coat! Usually they have it up so it's not an issue...but I know I've left it tucked in on several occasions! Oh the mental anguish I've caused them! I'm sure they have felt 'chokey' and didn't tell me! Oh what have I done!!!!!!
I must go ask for forgiveness now.
It doesn't generally get cold enough around here for both a hoodie AND a jacket.
But my son's field coat did come with a vest hoodie that zips in or out, and the hood part DEFINITELY goes outside of the coat.
Otherwise you'd have a neck hump!
LOL! That always drives me CRAZY! I only wear both on accident... like I'll have the hoodie on and I'll start putting on my coat and I'll feel the lump on my back... grrrrr. And if I don't go change, or decide NOT to wear the coat, I pull it out. :)

Like previous commenters said, I try not to wear both.
But if I do (or I must), I wear the hood inside. Because up here, coats are so thick, no one will know the hood is under there anyway. It would just look like a misplaced tail to have it hanging out.
oh i am so ashamed of my fashion. hoodies don't go on around this house. i mean, on me at least.
but if it's any consolation, i put big h and goo's hoods outside their coats.

I rarely wear a coat because I get motion sickness in the car if I get too warm. I only wear a coat if I will be standing outside for a lengthy period (which is almost never if it is cold).

Hood out, definitely. But..if there is a scarf involved, there might be a rethinking to the hoodie thing. Too much around the neck. But, what do I know, I live in Orange County and it never drops below 40 degrees.
Hood out.. but it BUGS me so I never wear both. Try not to anyway. Ugh.

I'm not sure you need more advice...but I wear mine out or I don't wear a coat depending on how cold it actually is. Fun question!
