Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot?

I hope you all haven't forgotten me. I'm still here, although I think I'm going to extend my bloggy break a bit more. We returned on Sunday from a week in Indiana with my family. It was the first time in quite some time that ALL of us were there for Christmas and we had SUCH A GOOD TIME! My Mom pulled out all the stops with the food, YUM! And we spent a lot of time playing this game ;-) And I was reminded of a similar one that you can play with just two people called Speed. I feel the need for SPEED!

Anyway, I was hoping to get started with the unpacking, sorting, cleaning on Monday, but was hit upside the head with a SERIOUS Migraine that would not go away. Needless to say, I am a little behind. We made some serious progress today, but I still have SO many miles to go before I blog. There is a house to clean, decorations to put away, laundry to do, and some serious purging of things. Rich is on break for another week so I have to maximize the time with his help! I promise I'll be back as soon as possible. Also, it might take me awhile to catch up on all of your blogs...yikes...you all have been prolific writers while I've been away...my bloglines account is a fright!

Happy New Year!

So glad that you are home! Hope that you can get everything done while Rich is home. It is so much easier to do all of that when the hubs is home! I will look forward to getting back on track with everyone!
Hope you had a great New Year's.

Sounds like you had an awesome Christmas. We used to play Nertz with our small group for HOURS. It's such a fun game.

Sorry about the migraine, but take all the time you need to unwind and get life back to normal. That's part of the gift of the holidays.

I agree with everyone else - take care of yourself, and take your time! We'll still be here. Promise.

Loved the game Nertz as a kid. Never heard of Speed though. Are they similar?

Happy new year! Get some rest! How nice that your hubs helps around the house...if only he could give my guy some pointers!

Welcome back girl! I get it on being behind...and I didn't even go away! We decided to paint this week so the house is a disaster! But whatever right? I mean, it always gets clean eventually!

I'm so glad you have your honey to help with the serious purging! You get to work and we will be here when you get back!

Hugs,
Ter

How is it that your husband has so much time off of work? Earen's husband too. What line of work are they in?

I hope your head is feeling better! I know how yucky migraines are, and I'm praying for relief for you.

I'm happy to hear that you had such a wonderful time with your family. And that you get some more time with your hubby before he goes back to work. Yay for family!!

We'll all be here when you return. And in the meantime, you're in our thoughts!! Love ya!

putting first things first...
i only know the experience moment by moment...or should i say second by second...and then i realize i need to repent and i do...and first things are first...then i go along and realized i haven't repented in a while...and i repent of not repenting...all the while He is smiling on us, moving in our lives...love you my dear...shutting down my computer for a long while right this second TO CLEAN FOR THE OPEN HOUSE..thinking of you cleaning too...wish you could come

I love speed and nertz - i used to be quite good at both, but as my husband loathes games, I am out of shape in the card department. I am glad you had fun, but sorry about your ankle! =(
