Look What This Mommy Found...

...in her Lazy Susan...

Not quite as impressive as this. Or as scary as this.

And the funniest part? He's been there a couple of weeks, I've decided I kind of like him there.

Oh Alana! I love it! It's crazy what you find...and WHERE you find it...when you have little ones! Wait until you see what I have hidden in my freezer...

Hahaha!

I just went to cook a meal, but found all of my canned goods to be out of date. So guess how long it's been since I cooked?

I might just leave him there. A couple of weeks ago my son & I approached my front door adorned by a fruit wreath. It was late that night and our courtyard was in complete darkness. I turned the key to unlock the front door when SOMETHING flew straight out of that wreath, hit me on the shoulder with a whap! and flew away. I calmly turned to my 16-year-old and said: "Was that what I just thought that was??" And he calmly in his stable "let's-not-overreact-expression replied: "Yes, ma'am. It was a bat." To which, I not calm anymore
S C R E A M E D and started jumping UP and DOWN and I woke up the senior citizens in our neighborhood! I was hit by a bat! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Thanks for your comment. We have the veggie tale story Bible so we read that story and we have the CD so we sing the song but it doesn't compute. We pray but the animals always come back. I guess it is something we just have to deal with. The biggest thing is that soemtimes it feels like he is doing it to avoid doing something ... like going to sleep or cleaning his room. It gets frustrating so often but then I remember he is 3 and I'm not so I need to let it go more often. I just don't want it to become an excuse to NOT do what I'm asking him to do.

funny pic BTW. I'm sure my days are coming where my boys try to scare me by putting all sorts of bugs/lizards/spiders around for me to find! Fun times with boys!

OK, so what I'm wondering is what you're planning to make with the canned blueberries? I'd leave Mr. Liz at home right there. He'll be a watch lizzard for all those cans of tomato soup!

I'm with Shelley, do share the blueberry recipe!

We had a spider that was placed randomly through the house, freaking me out until I realized 'just throw it away'.

Silly boys!

Is it your birthday? Well, Happy Birthday to you!! If I lived closer I would make you a big ol' cake!

I like the lizard in your cupboard. He is kinda cute.
My hubby is also not above throwing things. For example, throwing something into the ceiling fan just to see how far it will fly. It's great fun, let me tell ya!

I am guessing that Happy Birthday is in order!

Also, I think the lizard and the corn are color coordinated. Very nice match.

It actually took me a minute to figure out what was wrong with the picture. As the mother of 2 boys, that sort of thing looks very normal. As a matter of fact, if I DONT see things like that - it makes me nervous.

Ha! That picture is a pricelss reminder that you have creative KIDS at your house! Leave to boys-of all ages- to make sure all of our senses are working and we our on our toes.

Happy Birthday! I hope that you are feeling blessed today!

Happy Day!

Grace has an entire bag of squishy lizards that tend to pop up all over the house, in the strangest places.

I love it...it's going to be heartbreaking when they leave home.....

This is so normal for me. :) And for anyone else that has a buncha boys in their home! Wouldn't have it any other way. You keep that little guy right where he is.

Love,

Sigh... you're so lucky. All I ever find is chewed gum everywhere. 3 kids' worth. Ewww!

Such sweet reminders of the blessings of motherhood. I smile everytime I find some randomly placed object...thinking about what my child must have been doing to get it there :)

lol! Keilani hasn't done that yet. But she does occasionally hide behind a door and say boo! (And it works all too often!)
