Wow! Do you know these couples at all, or are they more or less total strangers? Are you trying to encourage them to get to know each other, or are you trying to get to know them?

"How did you meet?" is always a good one, and I googled the topic of icebreakers and found this website if your group is into games, etc...

Hope this helps and good luck!

We went to a small group and everyone wrote down something that they had done that not many people would know.....then you toss them into a basket. A designated person reads them and everyone tries to guess who it is.

Hope that helps! Have a great time!

Oh no! I bet I'm too late, so I'll just say I hope you have a great meeting and it goes really well. I like the suggestions everyone else made. I think "how did you meet?" is always fun!!

I'm sure I'm too late, but for next time, why don't you do some questions of that last meme I did, the one Carissa started. I also think it would be fun to have people answer questions for their spouse and see if they were right!

Alana-My husband has a big list of these questions that he uses during interviews. If you want a copy, let me know.

Krista took one of mine. The other is to have the spouses describe each other using their initials.

Obviously, I am a day late and a dollar short so I won't offer any belated suggestions. I am just jealous that you are leading a young married group. That is my favorite form of ministry. We were just getting ready to teach a young married Sunday school class when we moved to a retirement community. So, our talents in that area aren't needed at the moment. Sigh.

Kate, wish you could be here to lead with us...what a privilege that would be!

So, how did it go?

The small group went GREAT! Thanks for all the fabulous suggestions. Dawn, I would love that list for future reference.

We ended up doing two truths and a lie. It was quite humorous!

The couples are really great. I am excited about getting to know them better. One couple has been married for 4 months, one has been married for a year, and one has been married for 3 years. We may add one or two more couples. They were incredibly honest and open right off the bat.
