Cuddles

When William woke up this morning he was crying out for me. I opened the door to this conversation...

William: I want you.

Me: Aw, I want you, too. I need some William cuddles.

(now cuddling)

William: I love cuddles.

Me: I love cuddles, too.

William: They make me happy.

Me: (sigh) They make me happy, too.

How MUCH we can learn from our children. Thank you, Lord for that gift.

How sweet is that! I hope my boys still want to cuddle when they're a little older:)

That's precious....I'm sure the Lord desires the same from His children..Us! Don't you just love those moments!

I love it when Ben wants me to rock him. Cherish those moments.

Aren't children wonderful reminders? :) Indeed they are a gift from the Lord.

This morning when Annie woke up, we cuddled in her bed for a whole 30 minutes! It was wonderful and sweet...I love that she's a cuddler! You're so right, we can learn so very much.

Friend, I am glad you took the time to cuddle with William. I think we get so wrapped up in our schedule that we forget the basics. Thanks for that sweet post. I see cuddling in my future.

Aaaw! That is sooooo sweet!! I live for my son's cuddles.

The other day he was crying in his crib, refusing to nap. I marched down the hall, determined to be firm and tell him "Night-night!" in my no-monkey-business-mister tone of voice. I opened the door and he was standing there in the shadows looking like a rosy, cozy little angel, with his alligator tears and his arms outstretched for me. And it just hit me how awesome was it that he missed ME and wanted ME to comfort him! So, of course, I rocked and cuddled with him for a very long time.

Aaaaw... I love cuddles too!

Last night I was given the privilege of putting my son to bed. He is such a daddy's boy. Generally dad puts him to bed, but last night he wanted me. I felt so loved and took sheer joy out of the honor of saying his prayers with him and snuggling. He's 7... and rapidly outgrowing the snuggle stage. I just want to keep him there. LOL

Sweet post, Alana! :)

Oh, what a sweet boy he must be! Did he have bed head and everything? That's the only thing that could make it any sweeter. Bed head cuddles. Love those!!

I wish it was socially acceptable for adults to ask for cuddles. Sometimes my bad day could be cured with a good, warm bear hug!

I read your post the other day and found myself longing for cuddletime with my ever-active-and-independent 7 year old. He surprised me by waking me up to snuggle the next day. God is good.. :)
