Pardon My Whining

Disclaimer: This post includes a considerable amount of whining. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I know I have not been around much lately. While I have had the itis problem, there have been a couple of other factors. One being migraines. They have been more frequent and more painful as of late. This week alone (since Monday ) I have had TWO! Can I just say that I am over it? I want relief from the pain. Last night I was a crying, weeping mess when my husband came home late from work. I have been trying to keep track of when they occur and in this last six weeks I have had six. I'm not brilliant at math, but I do know that averages out to one per week...and six too many!

I broke down last week and finally called the doctor because along with the migraines I have also had considerable (unexplainable) fatigue. I just generally feel unwell. The doctor sent me in for some blood work and it all came back clear. I am thankful for that, but at the same time I know that these headaches and fatigue are not normal for me and I'm not okay with feeling this way. I want it fixed. I refuse to accept that this has to be my normal. He did prescribe for me a migraine medicine. I took it on Monday and it did nothing. NOTHING. Did not even phase that stinkin' headache one bit.

So, I've decided that my next step is to visit a chiropractor. I have never done this before, but I have friends who have had great success. I hope and pray this will work for me. Would you please pray for me? It has come to a point where it is interfering greatly with my life, even in the care for my home and family.

Thank you, friends. I'll try to make the next post a tad bit more uplifting.

I hope you feel better. That has got to be so frustrating. My husband gets migranes...about once every three weeks or so. We think they are related to his ADD. But..the only way he gets rid of it is by going to sleep for about 2 hours.

I've never been to a chiropractor either. I hope it works for you!

Father God, In Jesus name I ask that you would move over Alana tonight. God touch her with your healing hand and cause these migraines to stop, in Jesus name. Father, I pray that nothing would hinder your work in her life.
In Jesus name, amen.

Alana, I will definitely keep you in my prayers. There's not much worse than a migraine, and not much more frustrating than those blasted things either. I hope you feel much better very soon.

I'm so sorry, Alana! We see a chiropractor and I am glad we do. See if your doc will give you anything different - there are many meds out there, maybe you need a different one? Take care of yourself.

Alana,

You are not alone. I, too, suffer and mine have been horrible this week. Maybe a change in the weather? The one on Tuesday made me really grouchy with my students, but it is hard when you can't even think straight. Let me know how the chiro. goes as I might try it myself. Keep your chin up!

So sorry, Alana. My sister has this same thing and she is also trying to figure out the trigger. The are debilitating.

I so hope you can get them under control.

I hate that you haven't been feeling well, Alana. Headaches are the worst, especially when you're trying to keep up with kids.

I hope that the Chiropractor will help you. As long as he/she is a good one, I think you will see a difference.

I'm glad all of your blood work is good, that can be a scary wait!

I'll keep you in my prayers.
Love,
Darlene

I've heard accupuncture helps and also chiropractic helps as well! I'm praying that they end and you get your energy back!

Sweet Alana~ I hate that for you. I will be praying for you as well. I know a great chiropractor if you need any suggestions.

Alana,
I hate to hear that you are not feeling well.
I HATE to have a headache. I have been fortunate enough not to have migraines.
I have, however, watched my Mom suffer through them while I was growing up. She would have to go to the ER in the middle of the night to get a shot for some relief.
I will pray that you will feel better soon.
I'm glad that your bloodwork came back clear. I know that must have been quite a relief for you and your family.

Like I said...I will pray for you.
Isn't the blogger world wonderful. We bloggers can pray for each other...and reach out to one another when otherwise we would have never known one another.

I love it.

I am praying for wisdom for the doctors treating you.

I really hope you feel better soon, I know how you are feeling.

I know I have a crazy schedule, but most afternoons are free so CALL when you need some peace and the boys can come to our house and we will all play. Seriously do call when you need it.

chicken rice...it does my migraines wonders :)

oh precious girl...
that is really rough and incapacitating with little ones!
Praying for you His rest
in midst of no answers.
I think it is so much harder
to walk in the dark.
But He says those
who walk in the dark are to trust and rely only on His Name
and you so beautifully do!
I've had some weird stuff happen to me this week after fainting four times---like my brain not working well yet...nothing like a migraine but just disoriented. Praying for you to find HIM in the midst and to find the source!
Much Love to you my dear!

Thinking of you - hope you get some relief soon and get to the source of the pain. Take care.

Sorry to hear about the bum headaches and the all around feeling of the "blahs". I will pray that you get a hold of the right dr/chiro and that relief is on it's way. BTW - coming from a fellow blogger who has thrown a few "complaining" blogs up on my site every once in awhile - let it slide. We all have our days and seasons. Hope yours gets over quickly! Take care.

In answer to your question on my blog......YES! Sunny's is still here only it moved even closer to our house! It is on State of Franklin downtown not far from McDonalds - do you know where I am talking about? Anyway, they moved to a really nice place unlike the dive it was before --- the food is still great only more expensive ----next time you are visiting here we should meet there for lunch one day!!!

I pray you find relief. I wish I could tell you something magical to get rid of them, but I can't. So I will pray for God's supernatural healing hand!

Alana,
I'll be praying for you and pray that you might find the source of these migraines.

I pray that you will find not only physical rest but spiritual rest as well.

In prayer for you dear friend!

I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time. I will pray for you! I hope the chiropractor will help. I have never been to one, but my close friend has been helped greatly by hers!

Oh friend...I'm so sorry you've been having to deal with migraines and fatigue. I have a dear friend who has them quite regularly & some days she can't even move off the couch & she has 3 small kids. I've watched as she's cried out to God for help as she feels she's tried everything. So, I will add you to my migraine prayer list. May the power of the risen Christ impart His healing blood over your body & give you victory over these!

I'm so sorry you've been having such terrible headaches. Trevor deals with that as well, and I hate not being able to do anything for him. A chiropractor sounds like a good idea, and I have friends who have had success with accupunture as well.

I'll be praying for relief so you can get on with your life.
