My Thankful List

Just like last year, I compiled a list of things I'm thankful for all throughout November (one for each day of the month). And just like last year, I loved it! It was all a part of Leah's Give Thanks challenge. I wanted to post the list here for posterity. Enjoy! I hope your Thanksgiving was a blessed and grateful one!

I'm Thankful for...

  • A relaxing afternoon with friends
  • My freedom through Christ
  • My freedom to VOTE!!
  • A sweet comment from my husband
  • Road trip with a friend!
  • Seeing my sister on her birthday!
  • Crunchy leaves
  • Roasted marshmallows on an flat top stove
  • A warm and cozy home
  • An enthusiastic welcome home from my boys
  • Great friends
  • Free babysitting
  • Amazing Love, How Can it Be?
  • A new job!
  • A clean house (for now)
  • God's provision
  • Chocolate
  • A quiet moment
  • Kids' rooms purged!
  • Christmas Decorations up!
  • Impromptu date night with Rich!
  • The opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with my family!
  • That my vomiting child is old enough to make it to the toilet....best I can do today.
  • My blankie
  • A wonderful Thanksgiving with family
  • Noble Romans...YUM!
  • Nertz!
  • Girl's Day out with shopping and lunch!

What a great list. Hey, I very much appreciate that my girls are old enough to make it to the toilet/bowl to vomit. It's a major blessing in my book.

Um...you forgot to mention a semi-private viewing of HSM3. That's right!

Anyway, what a wonderful month in review. That would be a great thing to do everyday just to keep a record of what happened that year. Hmmmm...That might be my 2009 goal.

But then I would forget and get overwhelmed at the thought of how far behind I am. So, I guess I will just stick to reading your list in November.

Great list, Alana. I loved it all. Wish I could be closer to enjoy those things with you... except maybe the sick child... :) I want to know more about your job. How is it going? Are you overwhelmed? Hope all is well! :) Love and miss you!

Hi, I found your blog post through a search for “Nertz”. It is cool to see others that know about the game. I hope you don’t mind but I wanted to let you know about playnertz.com, the site for the National Nertz Association. There is a bunch of interesting Nertz information there and you can also find out how to play Nertz online there. I hope you will check it out. Feel free to join and also let your friends and family know. Thanks

I loved your list! I think it would be an awesome thing to write down something everyday...not just for November. God blesses us every day and far to often we forget about those blessings! I'm with Janelle...nice goal for 2009!

Love your thankful list. Perfect. I also am in agreement with quite a few of these - especially the free babysitting, impromptu date night (mine's not with Rich though - I tend to go out with my own husband - David) and Nertz!! I love Nertz!!! I grew up playing that until 3:00 a.m. on many nights with my family and friends! So fun!
