Today Richie had his very first piano recital! I have to say, I was a bit nervous for him. Those of you who know me well are aware that I had a few issues with stage fright in college (I was a music major). Those of you who know me really well or perhaps went to college with me, know that the term "a few issues" is probably an understatement.
You see, I had a very poor experience performing in a recital as a child. It may have scarred me a bit. As did the fourth grade spelling bee. But I digress. Now, I'm no psychologist, but I'm pretty sure that my poor recital experience was the root of the stage fright I experienced in college. And naturally, as my life came full circle today I found myself hoping and praying that Richie's first recital experience would be a POSITIVE one. I'm so happy and thankful to report that it turned out to be exactly that! In celebration, I have posted some pictures and a video of his performance here for your viewing pleasure!
Fantastic job, Richie! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!

So precious!
Love it! That was great and he did a fantastic job! No wonder you are such proud parents! YAY!
Yeah, We are proud. Dr. H… is AMAZING and Richie just LOVES music. I hope this is the beginning of a lifetime of musical joy for him. Yeah, so maybe a comparison with Mozart is a bit premature. After all, Mozart was writing music by age 7. Bur hey, Mozart didn't have PS2.
Congrats, Richie! [And to his mommy and daddy]
THAT WAS AWESOME!!! I would have loved to see that in person. Next time, right?
That was a great 41 seconds!! Good job! :)
Awww, how sweet! Richie was GREAT!
So, so cute! As a piano teacher, you can give him my heartiest congratulations on a job well done!
Consider me impressed --- he plays well....I see concerts in his future......(this coming from the girl who quit piano the first week of lessons)
That was AWESOME!!! I got a little teary eyed watching that. They're just growing up so fast...sigh. He played so SO well! I am so proud of him! I can't wait to tell him that in person!

How cute is he? I did the piano recital thing when I was little too and always had that nauseous "I have to go to the bathroom" feeling for hours before I performed. You must be so proud momma. He was such a little professional!!!
