He Speaks the Truth

So, today Richie was lying on the bed under my blankie and I tackled him.

He squealed, "Mommy!" And I said, "How did you know it was me?".

His reply? "Because you smell good and Daddy doesn't smell that good.".

Uh-huh.

Oh, and obviously soon is relative in regards to my last post.

Sorry.

Abigail, I hope you're still breathing.

You smell good mommy...hey, you smell good to me too II COR. 2:14 for you have been the fragrance of Jesus to me Alana...i smell such loveliness...

answer to your question is this: when I frantically arrived home after forgetting my 3-year-old at home---OH NO! did i just admit that! I had 7 kids with me that day! A Grandfather driving down our street heard him knocking on our huge picture window. He stopped. Britt told him where the hidden key was in the courtyard. The kind grandfather took him home with him. OH DEAR ME! Scared me to pieces! My son has never let me forget the fact that I left him home alone at 3...thank you for reading my way-too-long post...my 3 boys were sitting at my feet reminiscing with me and it got longer and longer...

that picture of your two so makes me smile!!!! can't wait to see the photo session!

That's funny, and applicable in our own home today, too! I was getting all dolled up for a wedding tonight while my husband was out spreading turkey manure. I'm sure my kids would have said the same thing! =)

LOL!! Keilani said about a year ago, describing one of the ministers on staff at our church... "You know, Rachel's Daddy, you know the one... like when you pass him in the hallway and you go like this... (insert BIG sniff here)... and he smells real good!? Can we make Daddy smell like him?"

Yeah... I still smile when I pass him in the hall, and sometimes I catch myself sniffing!

Aren't boys fun? They say the funniest things when it comes to moms. Since I am the only girl in the house, they are kind of fascinated by me. When they see commercials for barbies, they always ask me if I like them. When we go to a girl's birthday party and I ask them what we should buy her, they always say "probably a crown - girls like to wear crowns".. Tiara - crown...same thing to my boys.
