Birthday Celebration - Take 2

Well, I am happy to report that this week when my friends went out to celebrate my birthday...

I was able to go with them!

Unlike LAST week when I was sick in bed willing myself to die. You might think that last bit was sarcasm. Not so much.

But let us not dwell on the past.

When asked what I would like to do to celebrate my birthday, I said, "How about dinner and a movie?". Because I am exciting, DARING, and OH SO ADVENTUROUS! Call me dull, but that really is my idea of a perfect evening out.

We dined here. Because if there was nothing else on the menu...I would go there solely for the chips and salsa. But recently I have come to love their Boneless Shanghai Wings. The best part? They are served with carrots so...you know...that cancels out the fact that they are deep fried and drenched in a decadent glaze. Don't even bother telling me otherwise or else I'll just put my fingers in my ears and say "What? What was that? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"

After dinner, some great conversation, and present opening (hee hee) we convened to the movie theater for a very fun chick flick. I laughed out loud MANY times. And enjoyed the happy (albeit predictable) ending.

Well, I don't know about you , but that's about all the excitement I can stand to report in one night. But for all you visual types, here's a picture...

And I'll just have you know that these are some of THE BEST friends a girl could ever have!

"Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family."
Proverbs 18:24 (The Message)

I am so glad I get to be a blog friend and a real life friend!

Loved celebrating you. The picture is cute, you can hardly see my panic that we were STANDING on the furniture in a restaurant.

oh the horror.

What fun! And what better than a group of great friends to share in the celebration!

I had to click on the link for where you went to dinner. (you have to remember it's been awhile since I've been in the States) I thought where in the world did she eat? Chips and Salsa? Shangai chicken? And when I saw that it was Chili's----it all made sense! I miss yummy restaurants......

Happy Belated Birthday Celebration!

Happy Birthday dear Uh-lay-nuh!!!!
and throw in a few Texas syllables ...

This post delighted my heart that God has given you such precious friends in this season of your life. Treat them with such care, it so sounds like you do. I hope they hold your story well. And, the precious girl to your right, tell her I'm so thrilled she loves you, for it's written all over her face. She was to your right in another picture you posted, I believe. What a treasure on your birthday to know you are so enjoyed. It tells me that you love well. You've brought me much delight in blogland and I've never seen your face but will some day]...and the first thing I will do is to give you a kiss on the cheek and say, what a privilege it is to know you.

Well, Happy Birthday girlfriend!!! Have I told you that my hubby is now working 3 jobs??? And one of them is Chilis!!! He works 5pm-close on Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri and Sat. Wednesday nights are for church - he's now a paid sound tech. Yep - he's there at Chilis right now, loading cute women up with all sorts of chips and wings! :) Love that! I'm glad you had a great time! Friends like that truly are priceless.

Bless you, my sweet friend!
