Over and Out

I'm leaving tomorrow and will be heading here to attend this event.

I'll be leaving my family behind. So, please pray for safe travel for me and sanity for him. Seriously. Pray for my hubby as he holds down the fort singlehandedly. That is no easy job.

All of the preparations are making my head explode. I have made a handy dandy reference list for my hubby. I have enlisted this friend and this friend to help with childcare. And of course, this friend, this friend, and this friend have all offered to lend a hand as well, if needed. I have great friends!!!

I've made my packing list, I'm finishing up the laundry and I've had a heart to heart with my husband. Nothing serious, mind you. It went something like this...

Me: Okay, should I try to plan out meals for you OR are you just going to take them to McDonald's anyway?

Him: Yeah...the second.

I'm so glad I asked the question. I do have some "easy to prepare" things in the freezer if he decides to be ambitious, but I kinda doubt it. Oh well, I guess that is the fun of having Dad in charge!

Friends, I AM taking my computer so I will try to check in when/if I find some hot spots, but may not be doing much posting.

I hope you have a blessed week!

One look at that big bed made me jealous. How will you manage to sleep at night?

Seriously, have a blast! I hope you come back refreshed both in Kindermusik and in life.

I will be loving on your boys.

WOOOHOOO!!! Have a great time! Eat what you want, stay up as late as you want or go to bed as early as you want, watch what you want to watch on TV..........the kids will love having McD's every night and you will be a better mommy for having spent some time alone. Hope you have a great week!!!

Hey! I lived in Streamwood for about 6 months. It is right next to Schaumburg and we actually did most of our shopping there and went to a big Baptist church there.
Anyway, hope you are having a good time - Darlene

Sounds like a great trip for you!! Time to get inspired in your Kindermusik career, time to have fellowship with other Kindermusik teachers, and maybe some time alone without the endless demands that motherhood brings.

I think times like this are hard for mommies, because we KNOW how hard it is everyday. But it's either a good confidence builder for our husbands, or appreciation builder. (For us).

Enjoy it!! Praying for you, and can't wait to hear how it goes!

I hope you have a great time. I can kind of relate---despite different circumstances. :) You know I will be praying for you and your family. Why is it so hard as moms to leave behind our family?
Enjoy your special time and return home refreshed.

We had a great time too! I will have everyone know that the house was in GREAT shape when my wife got home. I still had 2 out of 2 children, the same as when she left, and we wouldn't have eaten everyday at McDonalds [at least once a day] if they hadn't been having the Monopoly® game this past week. Hey, this could have been my lucky year!

Don't let your husbands make you think otherwise. Menfolk can successfully [though differently] watch kids, and yes, it does make us appreciate our wives more and renews our faith and yearning for the Promised Land, a.k.a. the kids bed time.
